Improving Healthcare Services

Picture

Health care is very important and should be provided throughout a woman’s life, not just during pregnancy.   It is important for women and families to setup a medical home, or have a regular doctor.  It is even more important for women to regularly visit their doctor before and after they have a baby. Getting proper health care will promote positive development from the earliest stages of life and help reduce stress throughout the entire life course.

Our goal is to expand healthcare access over a person’s lifetime.  We plan to do this by:

  • Reviewing available data and information about infant and fetal deaths
  • Holding community discussion groups to get input on access and perceptions of healthcare
  • Recommending new ways of helping women and families to get the medical attention they need
